── How the Float Plate Works ──────────────────────

The float plate rests on top of the water surface inside the bowl. When your dog drinks, they push the plate aside slightly and access the water underneath. When the bowl shifts or bumps, the plate sits back down and limits how much water can slosh up and over the rim.

It works best at typical road speeds and moderate movement. Very sharp turns or sudden stops will still cause some splashing — that's normal for any open water container in a vehicle. Keeping the bowl on a flat, stable surface (like a car floor mat) gives the best results.
