Some cats eat like they haven't seen food in a week — head down, bowl empty in thirty seconds, and then pacing for more an hour later. The slow feed mode on this feeder doesn't fix that instinct, but it works with it: instead of dropping the full portion at once, it releases the meal gradually over a few minutes, which naturally slows your cat down without any separate slow-feed bowl required.

The Wourant 2L Automatic Cat Feeder is sized for one cat or one small dog. Set up to 6 meals per day at the exact times you choose, adjust portion sizes per meal from 1 to 12 portions, and the feeder runs the same schedule every day without further input. The LCD display shows your settings clearly. Button controls only — no app, no Wi-Fi, no pairing needed.

At 2 liters (about 8 cups), the hopper holds enough for most cats to go 10–14 days between refills at typical daily portions.

── Features ────────────────────────────────────────

Slow Feed Mode — Explained In slow feed mode, the feeder dispenses the programmed portion in small increments over approximately 3–5 minutes rather than releasing it all at once. This pacing slows down fast eaters naturally — no separate slow-feed bowl needed, no physical maze insert to clean.

Cats and dogs that eat too fast often swallow excess air, which can lead to discomfort after meals. Spacing out the same portion over a few minutes is a simple way to address this without changing what your pet eats.

Up to 6 Meals Per Day Schedule between 1 and 6 meals daily, each at a specific time. Each meal is set independently with its own portion size — so you can have a light morning feed, a standard lunch, and a slightly larger dinner if that suits your pet's pattern.

1 to 12 Portions Per Meal Each portion dispenses approximately 10–12 grams of standard dry kibble. That gives you a per-meal range of roughly 10g (1 portion / light snack) to 120–144g (12 portions / larger meal for a small dog).

Most adult cats eat 40–60g of dry food per day. Split across 3 meals at 10–12g per portion, that works out to roughly 1–2 portions per meal — a very manageable setting to start from and adjust.

2L Hopper — About 8 Cups At a typical single-cat daily intake of 50g, a full 2L hopper lasts approximately 10–14 days. For a small dog eating 100g per day, expect 5–7 days between refills. The compact size makes this feeder well-suited for apartments, countertops, or travel use.

BPA-Free Materials Throughout The hopper, body, and food tray are all BPA-free plastic. No materials containing BPA contact your pet's food during storage or dispensing.

LCD Display and Button Controls The backlit LCD screen shows current time, meal schedule, and portion settings at a glance. All programming uses physical buttons on the unit — straightforward to set up, no technical knowledge required.

Dual Power Supply Runs on the included USB power adapter as primary power. Accepts 3 × D-cell batteries (not included) as backup. If power is interrupted, the feeder continues the programmed schedule on battery until power is restored. The programmed settings are retained in memory during power outages.

Compact and Portable The 2L footprint is noticeably smaller than 4–6L feeders. It fits easily on a kitchen counter, in a hallway, or on a shelf. Lightweight enough to pack for a weekend trip or a stay somewhere your cat is joining you.

── How Much to Feed — A Practical Starting Point ──

These are general reference ranges only. Follow your veterinarian's guidance for your pet.

One adult cat (~10 lbs, indoor): Daily intake: 45–60g Suggested: 3 meals per day, 1–2 portions each Slow feed mode: On if your cat eats quickly Hopper lasts: approx. 10–14 days

One small dog (under 15 lbs): Daily intake: 60–100g Suggested: 2–3 meals per day, 2–4 portions each Hopper lasts: approx. 6–10 days

One portion = approx. 10–12g standard kibble. Kibble density varies — run a quick test on day one: set 1 portion, catch it, weigh it, then adjust your meal settings from there.

── Kibble Compatibility ────────────────────────────

Works with: Standard round dry kibble, 2mm to 15mm diameter

Not compatible with:

  • Wet food or semi-moist food
  • Freeze-dried raw food (irregular shape jams chute)

── Good to Know Before You Order ───────────────────

  • This feeder is sized for one cat or one small dog. For two cats or a medium-to-large dog, refill frequency increases significantly — the 2L hopper may need refilling every 3–5 days. Our 6L model handles higher-intake households more comfortably.
  • D-cell backup batteries are not included. Install them before your first use so the backup is in place from day one — they're available at any grocery or hardware store.
  • Dry kibble only. Do not use with wet food, semi-moist food, or treats — the dispenser chute is not designed for moist or sticky foods.
  • Indoor use only. Do not place near heat sources, in direct sunlight, outdoors, or anywhere humidity could reach the food hopper.
  • The food tray is detachable and easy to rinse. The main unit should be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth — do not submerge in water.
  • This feeder does not have Wi-Fi, an app, or voice recording. Programming is done entirely on the unit via the LCD display and buttons.
  • Rabbits and other small animals: this feeder can technically hold small-pellet food for rabbits, but the portion sizes and meal timing are calibrated for cats and dogs. Rabbit dietary needs differ significantly — consult your veterinarian before using an automatic feeder for a rabbit.
